I am feeling so blessed right now. We just had a fabulous weekend spending time with family and friends celebrating our babies birthday's. We did an outdoor movie night, jumped on a bounce house, played in bubbles, and ate lots of yummy food. Our hearts are full. We feel so blessed by all the people God has placed in our lives that love on our family and especially our little ones. I have many pictures to share of the party but it's late, I'm tired and my body is covered in poison ivy. I do want to share an updated family photo we recently took that may have something to do with the poison ivy I speak of. I have applied just about everything you can apply to poison ivy and have found no relief, I'm thinking I need to go get a shot? Anyways, I'm off to bed! Hope y'all had a great weekend.
I'm so sorry about your poison ivy! :( But that family photo is precious.
Reply DeleteYou need to wash of the urushiol oil with Zanfel soap - and wash any clothing, bedding and towels you've come in contact with with hot water or the oil will keep spreading and it'll get worse. I'm not very allergic to it but my daughter is highly and I spread poision ivy all over her face hugging her before I knew I had it - I felt awful. BTW I came across your blog after following a recipe from pinterest!!
Reply DeleteYour family photo is gorgeous!
Reply Deletesuch a great photo!
Reply DeleteI hope you are feeling better from your poison ivy episode. I came across your blog from a pinterest link. :-) My hubby swears by taking two alleve or tylenol, then scrubbing (this might sound gross but) your arms with dawn and a little diluted bleach and hot water, using a pretty tough scrub pad. He says the oil gets down deep in your skin and the best thing you can do is get rid of the first layer of skin on your arms (thus the alleve).
Reply DeleteI hope that helps. I have never had a breakout but my sister-in-law is highly allergic and it sounds like you might be also. Bless your hearts....
