We decided to go all out this morning for breakfast and make Elvis pancakes. Have you ever had these? They are so yummy and a great way to fancy up an ordinary pancake.
Here's what I did:
1 c all purpose flour
1/2 c whole wheat flour
3 1/2 tsp of baking powder
1 tsp salt
1 T sugar
1 1/2 cup of milk
1 egg
3 T melted butter
1/2 of a mashed banana
Once your banana pancakes are ready spread a layer of peanut butter on while it's hot.
add thin slices of banana.
drizzle some honey
and repeat
Now eat em' up!
Yes, he's in a pink bib. I have no excuse to state my case on why this is. Sorry Bubs!
Bubby & A both look like they are enjoying their Elvis Pancakes....bib color is not an issue for them :) Love Nonnie

Reply DeleteOh my this looks great! :) So glad I found your blog. Keep up with the delicious recipes :)
Reply DeleteWe love banana pancakes around here, but we only ever make them if we are out of eggs (which has not happened since bringing chickens into our life). Bananas are great substitutes if you don't have eggs on hand in any baked recipe... 1/4-1/3 cup of mashed banana for each egg you will be replacing. Yum!
