Funny story about how I met this family. When my husband and I first moved here they were our downstairs neighbors in our apartment complex. We saw each other in the parking lot but never formally introduced ourselves. As time went by it seemed more awkward to introduce myself not being a new neighbor anymore so one night I believe I had made some homemade cinnamon rolls and knew it was the perfect opportunity to share them and go downstairs for an official, "hi, I'm your neighbor," greeting. I went to our bedroom to tell my husband I was going to run down there and saw that he was in the middle of an important phone conversation so I didn't want to interrupt him. Instead I just stopped what I was doing and out the door I went so I couldn't talk myself out of it. I took them the cinnamon rolls, introduced myself and we instantly hit it off and were talking a mile a minute. Before I knew it an hour had gone by and I knew I needed to get back upstairs to finish making the dinner I was in the middle of. Yes, I made cinnamon rolls before the main meal....who doesn't? Anyhow, I walked out the door and saw a bunch of police cars in our parking lot and up in our apartment. My poor husband called the police because I had vanished. I had left in the middle of making dinner and didn't tell him I was leaving. Bad wife, sweet caring husband, new neighbors thinking we're crazy.
We were able to laugh about it together and share some great memories. I sure do miss them now, but am so thankful we were able to get together for this session.
To keep it real, and because it might be my favorite....
too too precious!!!
