What you will need:
5 cups of mixed nuts
1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
2 tablespoons of butter
1 tsp granulated onion
3 tsp granulated garlic
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
1 tablespoon packed brown sugar
1 tablespoon kosher salt
1/4 cup of minced fresh rosemary
* when making for gifts I usually double the recipe
Mix all of the seasonings together, including the minced fresh rosemary.
Melt butter in a mixing bowl, then add the olive oil. Combine all of the nuts in the oil/butter mixture and make sure it is evenly coated. Once it's coated add the seasoning mixture and stir until evenly coated.
Package it up any way you like. I prefer to package it in a mason jar with a note describing the warming instructions. "Store in a cool and dry place until ready to serve. Once ready to serve warm the oven to 350 and bake on a sheet for 8-10 minutes, serve warm."
Let me know if you try it!
This looks DELICIOUS!!! Definitely going to make a batch in the next week!
Reply DeleteLove how you presented it!
YUM!!! Can't wait to try! What a great suggestion as an alternative to all of the sweets, too. :)
Reply DeleteWow these look yummy! Sweets can definitely be overwhelming..what a wonderful diversion.
Reply Deletelooks awesome!!! too many desserts? how is that possible?
Reply DeleteCute idea! I love how you've styled the finished product. I was just thinking the same thing... trying to come up with non-dessert hostess gifts. I absolutely love anything sweet, but realize that not everyone has the same taste buds! I came up with holiday granola:)
Reply DeleteLooks yummy and pretty! My mom makes something similar to this. I will have to try it this year with some of my pecan bounty!
Reply DeleteWhat a great idea, Robyn! They look so pretty all jarred up!
