I have accumulated a lot of pictures on my phone that I haven't posted through both the blog and instagram that I need to share with you. Last week I really wanted to share some pictures from the season opener for Texas A&M with the SEC but I never got around to it. Matt and I got tickets to the game and had a friend willing to watch our kids all day so we could get away for a bit. It's crazy how things like going kayaking and a football game with just the two of us can remind us that we are fun and love to hang out with one another. I can easily forget that we used to play around and were care free with one another. As much as I love our daily lives of cleaning dirty diapers, washing dishes, stepping on toys and tucking babies into bed together I also love getting away just the two of us.
Other things that happened this week:
Sweetest little boy EVER washing my car!
Movie night with kettle corn and mini m&m's.
Meals that involve a spoon always end like this.
Ernie came for a visit and we had to make our specialty cookies.
It's so intense it required gloves and mixing with hands. She's hardcore that girl!
Finally got all the kids dressed in decent clothes and fed in time to go watch some of the football game and it started raining once we pulled into the parking lot:(
My first SBUX of the
Fall pumpkin season. I accidentally ordered the "I don't want to sleep for the next 48 hours drink," said the girl that can't handle her coffee.
Yard sale finds ready to get put to use.
I have pumpkin cake in the oven for tomorrows breakfast, the rain is softly falling on our tin roof and I'm ready to start a brand new week!
Very nice. I do know what you mean about getting out by yourselves. Phil and I didn't do it for a long while and then one day we got to go to dinner together. OMG, it was so nice!! We go places together all the time but we are always doing some type of work--like shopping but to get to go and do something nice together is rare. We need to do it more often.
