I just got back from a day out in the "fields" of Warrenton for antique
week. If you've been following my blog a while then your familiar with
the biggest antique show in Texas that happens around these parts twice a
year. It's basically two weeks of a 40 mile stretch of antique vendors
setup with their junk. It's pretty much awesome, exhausting,
overwhelming, inspiring and fun wrapped up in one outing. The exhausting
part comes from pushing a double stroller with two kiddos in the heat.
The overwhelming part is that it's HUGE and I always forget where I am
and where my car is parked. I'm happy to report that this go round was
mildly tiring and I remembered where I parked. I enjoyed just browsing
and snapping some pics to share with you all. I
almost got out of there
without a thing. I was less than 20 yards away from my car when I
spotted a cute rusty egg basket for $10 that I just had to have. I'm
proud to say that I didn't have anything tied to the roof of my car or
sticking out the back window on this trip. My husband's proud of me too.
Here's a little taste of Texas Antique Week....
WOW! In the first photo alone I saw 5 things I cant live without. Wooden frame, wooden box, wooden arrow, a table etc....have you ever been to the market in Canton? I have never been but have hotel reservations for my first trip when I go on R&R....in 20 days!!!!!
Reply DeleteVery neat! I've always wanted to go antiquing, but haven't done it yet. I think I'm afraid I'll want everything and then get home and realize I didn't need it all. Good job for getting only one small item!
Reply DeleteI haven't been yet! That table and those chairs in the first shot- I LOVE!!!
Reply DeleteUGH... so sad I'm not there.
