We knew we would be hitting the road in the morning and this is when Little Miss is most likely to get car sick. I've grown tired of taking apart and washing a car seat with every road trip so I had her wear her "special cape" aka a rain poncho. Oh yes...yes I did. It would have worked great but I decided to take off the sweat suite once we pulled into the resort entrance thinking we were in the clear....after 50 minutes in the car with 2 minutes left to go you would have done the same thing. Yeah, you guessed it....that's when she threw up! I guess you could say we're used to rolling up into swanky places with a wal-mart diapered baby.
It still blows my mind how old this boy is. To measure the length of a relationship with a life of a person is something special. I can't believe I started babysitting him 9 years ago and now he's playing and loving on my babies.
It was such a treat to spend the day with friends that are like family at a place that felt like we were on vacation.
Poor Arabelle! The first time I drove out to the Hyatt, I was surprised how far back it was. It made me a bit carsick, too! The winding roads, the hills... it got to me, too!
Reply DeleteI love the cape! Haha, we may have to keep one of these handy as Jackson is now getting car sick on longer trips :(
Reply DeleteThe D's are looking great, as always. L has grown into a such handsome young man (he was always a cute little boy)! I know you had a great time catching up with old friends. Nancy
Reply DeleteI love that place! When I was a nanny I stayed there with the 4 little ones I was watching. So fun!
