My favorite childhood toy was the REAL tire swing at my Nana and Papa's house. I say real tire because it was not one of these newfangled 'plastic-treaded-to-look-like rubber' tire swings. I had many a pair of shorts smudged black from my beloved swing. The chain holding it was thick, slightly rusted, and substantial. My Papa fashioned the swing from parts scavenged around their farm - one of his seemingly endless loving acts toward us, his adoring grandchildren.

My favorite childhood memory was one Christmas Eve where we spent the day ice skating downtown Fort Worth, in the Tandy Center. We went to my Memaw's house after for cookies and hot chocolate. It was just such a sweet special memory!

I always remember playing with my brother and sister. We each would be some different sort of shop and would sit in our bedroom doorways inviting each other in. I think I was a diner and had a cash register, money, plates etc. My sister was the airplane and would sit us in chairs, go through safety procedures and used a sock for us as a pretend air mask, ha! I don't remember what my brother was, but possibly he was a bank? ANyway, it was so much fun and something I will never forget!

Gosh I can't pick just one childhood memory, but here's one...All my cousins used to gather at my grandparents house and we would build forts in the living room with blankets and the funiture. In the middle of the night my grandpa would wake up to eat a midnight snack. He wouldn't watch where he was going and trip all over our forts in his tighty whities. After a few choice words, he would sit at the bar and enjoy a bowl of Blue Bell's Homemade Vanilla Ice Cream. The best ice cream in the country!

Every year on my birthday ( before i turned 7? ) i always have ice cream birthday cake! :) I have many birthday pictures of me eating a face full of ice cream cake ( along with my sister ). We just LOVE cake.

My sisters and i used to catch frogs and lizards in our back yard. we'd get an aquarium and fix it up with dirt and rocks and then we'd go hunting. we eventually got very good at it and would end up with 15 frogs or so. Our neighbor (a boy) wanted to name every frog Peter and we'd get very upset with him, but we never named them so he'd always win.

My favourite childhood toy is a rag doll my mum made for me. She had several outfits & looked just like me - dark wool hair & dark button eyes. I loved my "Gina Doll". She went everywhere with me. And now, years later, she is well loved by our daughter, Paulina.

One of my favorite childhood memories is in relationship to my mom.

She would make wedding cakes. And it was the 80s and 90s, so these cakes were 5 tiers tall with columns and fountains and all kinds of elaborate-ness. :-) One of the intial steps in the process was making "Sugar Butter" -- Yep, sugar and butter whipped into submission. She would often let us have a *small* spoonful of it. (Healthy? NO. Yummy? Yes!) We would also get to help her deliver the cakes and sometimes put the columns on!

When I was around 4 years of age, we had 2 yellow labs; male Bo and female Sandy. They had 3 litters together of the most adorable puppies ever, and my sister Allison and I loved every minute of having cuddly, rolly lab puppies around! My specific memory is that I would take a puppy or 2 at a time and dress them in my baby doll clothes and try to get them to stay in my doll stroller to push them around! So much fun!

My favorite toy was a red and white art/school desk my parents gave me for Christmas when I was in about the 2nd grade. I wanted to be a teacher SO bad and I LOVED having my own desk to play at. :) I think this is such a great giveaway. I checked out their shop the other day after you posted pics of your little boys new room.

I'll have to piggyback on my sister's memory and say that dressing up lab pups is about as cute as it gets! Other favorite childhood memories involve family reunions at the lake, making barbie beds out of washcloths, bicycle riding, 'walking Main', and watching Saved by the Bell all the time

I remember the day we went to pick up our dalmation puppy, Alex. The movie 101 Dalmations was very popular and my brother and I wanted one of those adorable black-and-white creatures so bad! Our parents drove way out into the country to a breeder so we could pick out our very first puppy. We brought her home and played outside in the backyard until she fell asleep in the grass. Beautiful!

My favorite toy was undoubtedly a blanket my grandmother made me. I drug that thing everywhere and once left it in a JC Penney restroom. It was so worn out that the janitor thought it was an old rag and threw it away. I cried all night long and my dad finally went and dug through the dumpster to get it back for his baby girl - now that's love!!

My favorite toy would have to be my red Radio Flyer wagon. With it's rusted wheels and steel frame that wagon did everything from tote me and my brother and sister around, to becoming a rocket when racing down hills, and a way for me to sell dozens of pathetic little flowers packed in Dixie cups to my neighbors! I'm pretty sure a hot summer day didn't go by where I wasn't attached to that wagon.
And now I have one for my kids!

My favorite childhood toy was my baby doll Summer Lyn. I pretty much liked all babies and Barbies but she was my favorite. I carried her around EVERYWHERE I went... until I lost her. My mom tried to get me a replacement and she just wasnt the same.

I loved playing outside with my cousins at my grandmothers house. She had huge trees and we would climb all day.

I think almost every toy I played with when I was little was a baby doll. I had like a million and I played "house" for hours! I loved to pretend I was a Mommy! My Mom actually kept two of my favorite baby dolls and I have them tucked away for my little girl to play with one day!

My favorite toy was a baby doll with attached blanket that my great grandmother crocheted for me! This was the only doll I ever played with.

My favorite toy was the Barbie doll. I know we hear all about how Barbie creates an unattainable body image for girls, but seriously, what girly girl doesn't love dressing a Barbie in one of many fun outfits. I think Barbie had more clothes than me...it probably helps that my great aunt sewed her some outfits!

That had to be my Sindy Doll (like the North American Barbie). My parents went to japan at the time I loved her an brought home a suitcase of outfits for her. I loved that doll!
My first grandchild is on the way...there would be so nice for the baby room!

Oh, I was a total tom boy. My favorite memory was getting tadpoles out of the nearby pond with my neighbor. I can't say as I'd do that anymore, but it was sure fun way back then! Melaine

Great give away! My favorite early childhood toy would have to have been the baby doll I named "Bonanza" that Santa brought when I was 3. No one knows why I named it that... I can only imagine that I was influenced by the TV show I heard grown ups talking about or a restaurant near my Grandma's house. But at 3 how would I have known those things?!?

We're having our first child this August (and it's a girl!). I can't think of a favorite memory at the moment but I do hope to create many happy memories for our little one.

Hmmmm, my favorite childhood toy was my "Monahan Doll" called such because it was given to me by my Grandpa and Grandma Monahan. I loved her so much. My sister and I played with those dolls for years...until we were quite "old". :)

My favorite toy was the triple story wooden dollhouse my Daddy made for my 4th birthday. It's about to be refurbished in honor of our little girl, his first granddaughter's, 4th birthday! I loved my play kitchen and table. I use to spend all day playing house with my dolls and stuffed animals. I love your little boys room! It is just adorable.

When I was young, fiveish, I loved cooking with the Easy-Bake Ovens. My mom would bring out the one she used as a little girl and I would set up mine and make all kinds of "goodness" for my dad. He was always a sport and would choke down anything I created. When we found out we were having a daughter the first thing I thought about buying was an Easy-Bake, just think of the output of three ovens, but decided to wait until she was old enough to go with me. My husband is eagerly awaiting his first treat.

My favorite toy when I was young was Polly Pocket. I would save up my allowance and collect as many of them as I could. I would spend hours playing pretend with them, and it was great because I could take them anywhere! I need to look through my old toys and find those for my kiddos!

The best childhood memories that I cherish are sewing doll clothes with my grandma, riding with my dad to feed cows, and just using my imagination to bake the best mud pies that no one would ever eat! All such simple things but great memories!

I cannot remember alot of favourite toys as a child, I remember doing make believe time a lot. I do not think we were as "toy" orientated back then and the simple things were often the best! That is the one thing that I love most about these cards - they remind me of a time when we did not have all these toys around and we made our own fun. Simple memories, but beautiful ones! Would love to win these - have not seen any of these over here in Australia! Just gorgeous!

The best chilhood memories I have had, were the lon bicycle-rides with my dad, brother and sister during springtime. I loved to look at all the blossoms in the fruit trees! Especially appletree-blossoms.
Now I do the same with my daughter who is now 2 years old, she loves it too!
